Vongvilay has recently worked on the following projects:
• Regional Gender and Disaster Risk Management Specialist, Gender and Disaster Risk Management for East Asia and Pacific Region, World Bank. Roles and responsible include coordinate and lead initial consultation with stakeholders in Vientiane, assist with the development of the project Gender and Disaster Management Dataset, and coordinate consultations and field exercise in Laos. (Sep 2010 – Ongoing)
• Social survey team leader and project assistant, Nam Ou Cascade Hydropower Project. Main responsible include the coordination, field work planning and liaise with the relevant project staff, GOL, provincial and district governments. Also conducted on village and household survey, data quality assurance, quality control of data collection processing. Conducted the village and district consultation for presented the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (2010- On going)
• Survey team leader and data analysis, MMG LXML Social and Economic Household Survey, Virabury district, Savannakhet. Responsibilities included client liaison, coordination and planning, Quality assurance, Quality control of field survey, data analysis and reporting. (2009)
• World Bank Community Consultations Development of a Rural Livelihood Improvement Pilot. Responsibility included preparing and conducted field survey presentation for the gender groups, reporting support and data analysis.(Sep 2009)
• Assistant Team Leader, the Terrestrial Biodiversity and Forest Resources Use Study, Ban Houayxai Gold Silver Project. Responsible for the gender interview about the use of plants and animals in the village. (2009)
• Case study of Local Government Engagement in Mining and Hydropower Sector of Lao PDR. Main responsibility was to conduct the interview and liaison and coordination with government offices.
• JICA Transmission Line IEE. The main task was to conduct interview with heads of village and local community groups and liaise with the relevant project staff, GOL, provincial and district governments, and also conducted on data quality assurance, quality control and analysis. (Aug, 2009)
• Technical Assistant, Waste Management Program, Environmental Monitoring Unit (EMU) for Nam Theun 2 Hydropower Project at Prime Minister Office. (2009)
• Assistant Team Leader, Socio-economic Household Survey and Social Impact Assessment for the Sepon Gold and Copper Mine Project. Responsibilities included client liaison, coordination and planning of field survey work, Quality assurance, Quality control of data collection processing and analysis (Dec 2005 to Feb 2006)

Assist the Socio-economist and Poverty Reduction Specialist for the conduct of a livelihood assessment in 20 pilot villages along the Nam Phit and Xe Bang Fai rivers.
