Summary
Nanong Khotpathoum is the Director of Earth Systems Lao. He is responsible for the coordination and facilitation of consulting activities. Previously Nanong held the position of senior program officer with the US based NGO Consortium. He has also held a number of senior positions in the Government of Lao.

- Community Consultation Specialist, Phu Bia Gold and Phu Kham Copper Mining Project. Responsible for community and government consultation during the preparation of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment.
- National Team Leader, Xe Bang Fai Downstream Restoration Project, Nam Theun 2 Hydropower Project.
- Government Issues Expert, Nam Theun Electricity Consortium. Assisted in the preparation of detailed Terms of Reference and a draft Compensation Agreement for the conduct of a land and assets Baseline Study in project affected areas.
