Mining projects can have significant interactions (both positive and negative) with the environment and the communities in which they operate. Mine-site environmental and social management is a core expertise of Earth Systems Lao. In particular, we offer expertise in the identification, characterisation, minimisation, management and treatment of acid drainage associated with sulphidic rocks at mine sites, and acid sulphate soils. Also, ESL is recognized for services in closure and rehabilitation planning, mine-site environmental management systems (EMS), mine-site environmental monitoring, and socioeconomic impact and baseline studies.
