Representative Experience
- Bandith chanthavong worked for Swiss foundation for mine Action (FSD) in Lao PDR as a Geographic in formation System (GIS) Specialist. During the initial period of his employment, Bandith underwent extensive GIS training provided by an expatriate consultant. And try to work hard to get more experience.
- During my time with FSD, Bandith routinely carried out the following tasks:
- Collection of FSD’s clearance Statistics
- Management of FSD Database
- Database analysis and the creation of maps in support of UXO/Mine Action projects.
- Arial photograph and satellite imagery analysis, enhancement and integration with Topographical maps.
- Provision of GIS products and information for reports and presentation.
- Preparation of routine reports external agencies.
- Liaison with NRA and other external agencies on GIS matters.
- Training of FSD Survey officer in GIS systems and processes.
